This beautiful large Antique vase features hand-painted roses and gold accents on a dark and light pink roses floral pattern. Made of antique porcelain, this piece is a stunning example of Victorian 1800s style. The vase stands approximately 11 inches tall and weighs around 2 pounds 8 ounces.
I believe this is either unmarked French Limoges or Early Japanese (Nippon?), and is in excellent condition considering age and usage. Since the mark has long since worn off, I cannot be certain of the maker so this is sold As IS. There are no chips or cracks. There is some gold/paint wear which is consistent, also with age. Please study all of the pictures carefully as they are an important part of the overall description and very helpful for determining condition. Questions and comments are welcome so feel free to contact me with inquiries, questions, comments or offers.
(Note: An awesone eBayer contacted me and said that this piece is most likely an early Nippon vase, prior to 1891, when it was then required to mark imports..after 1891. If anyone else has an opinion or comment about the maker of this lovely piece, please feel free to let me know. Thanks! :) ).
